Pasadena Taco Truck

Although I have been to this taco truck many times, I still wanted to include it in my review as it's one of my favorites.  As you can see from the menu below, they have a very eclectic selection.  I typically get a plain cheese quesadilla, which is odd because I consider myself to be an adventurous eater.  But the cheese quesadillas are so good that I just can't resist.

My favorite thing about this food truck is the condiments section.  They have various types of condiments that are all super yummy (and unlimited).  I tend to take a little "extra" and save them for my own cooking.  My favorite is the salsa verde.

So this time around, (in addition to my boring cheese quesadilla) I got 3 tacos (pastor, carne asada and chorizo). They are small and really cheap so it was a great addition and not too much food.  I also ended up saving half the quesadilla for lunch the next day.

There isn't much to say about the quesadilla.  It's cheesy goodness in a large yummy flour tortilla.  Who can mess that up?

All 3 tacos were perfect.  The meat was juicy and tender yet not too fatty.  The seasonings were also spot on.  If I had to chose a favorite, it would have to be the chorizo.  It had just the right level of spice for my palette.  I am not a huge fan of corn tortillas, but since these are typical Mexican street tacos, I knew what to expect.  The loaded toppings on each taco made them burst with added flavor.

Overall I give this truck a five out of five stars!  They are opened in the evenings only and into the late night.  They are located at 400 S Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105 in the Goodyear parking lot.  If you are in the Pasadena area, check it out!
