Brand new old sweater!?!?!

I was really bummed when I found a hole on the elbow area of one of my favorite sweaters (worn on day 27 of Dressember).  I thought about tossing it and then thought wait a minute, I can fix this!

I have seen many sweaters, blazers and cardigans with patches on the elbows.  So I purchased 2 large black suede oval shaped patches and sowed them over each elbow, covering the hole on one side.  I used this tutorial for my project.    

 

Now, I not only can continue to wear my favorite sweater, but I feel like it is brand new!
